| JOB TITLE: | GEOLOGICAL DRAFTSMAN/DRAFTER |
| JOB DESCRIPTION: | Applied graphic science in support of various engineering/geological projects. In some cases, the drafter makes precise drawings (pictorial representations) using a drafting table, T-square and drawing instruments to provide maps, cross-sectional drawings, charts, graphs, blue prints of the earth structure below the surface using well log data. In many cases, drafters now use computers and CAD programs to produce drawings. |
| EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: |
2 yr. Trade School or Junior College drafting certificate. Must have average or above average math aptitude and basic computer skills. |
| ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: | Demonstrated skill in use of instruments, and hand lettering; willingness to travel to field and/or job site as required; willing to attend company sponsored schools. |
| ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: | Approximately one to two years related work experience. Satisfactory typing skills. |
