ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II

JOB TITLE:	ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II
JOB DESCRIPTION:	Performs routine sub-professional duties for petroleum engineers. Maintains engineering records. Drafts and plots various graphs, curves and charts. Complies various reports. Assists engineers in formal reports, in obtaining various information, and routine calculations.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:	High School education required and 2 years college preferably in basic engineering, mathematics, or science.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:	Equivalent technical or field acceptable.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:	Promotions to upper level technician jobs dealing with economic evaluation and financial planning.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
SALARY RANGE:	$8.00/hr. up

Geo-Science based Monitoring of Flood Protection Levees:
See attached presentation on the Levee failure prevention project. The updated work was presented to Chalmette city commission. Without API Delta support this project would not have taken off the ground as fast. Note the last slide regarding goals for the coming year
