| JOB TITLE: | EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIST |
| JOB DESCRIPTION: | An Exploration Technologist performs a variety of assignments in connection with the processing of geological, geophysical or paleontological data for interpretation by professional Geologists, Geophysicists or Paleontologists. Their duties may include checking and posting geological and geophysical data to maps, encoding oil well data for computer processing, maintaining files, preparing data tabulations, processing reports, and preparing major exhibits for professionals. |
| EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: | High School education required. One or more years of college and sufficient instruction in Commercial Art or drafting to work quickly, accurately and neatly. |
| ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: | Pass physical examination, good driving record. |
| ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: | Exploration Technologists may advance through a number of more responsible positions. Advancement depends on the individual's job performance and ability to take on more difficult assignments. |
