JOB TITLE: ROUSTABOUT (WATER LOCATIONS)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Physically demanding work of mechanical nature predominantly out-of-doors in an offshore environment. Duties also include painting, hauling of materials and supplies, cleanup and other miscellaneous assignments as directed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School education required. Also, any mechanically related courses successfully completed, i.e.-carpentry, automotive or diesel mechanic, drafting, etc.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Age - 18 years old. Applicant must be able to swim, pass rigorous physical examination in accordance with company standards and be willing to work seven 11 hour days away from home followed by seven days off.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: All promotions are made from within to the more technically specialized job categories and subsequently to first level supervisory and the managerial positions. Emphasis is placed on an individual's work performance record, when considering him/her for advancement. Continuous on-the-job training is provided to all employees.
SALARY RANGE: $5.00/hr. up

Announcements

The API Delta Chapter Board of Directors have approved a donation to a joint LSU-UNO levee monitoring project in the amount of $7500. The API Delta Chapter supports this project to predict and prevent levee failures. We also support the joint LSU -UNO collaboration and training of students in the use of state-of-the-art Near Surface Geophysics technologies. The API Delta Chapter joins our sister societies in support of this worthy project. Information on the Levee Monitoring Project can be obtained in the accompanying presentation.
