TECHNICAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
JOB DESCRIPTION: In drilling services, determine properties of drilling muds and chemical additives. Make recommendations for additives. In production services, determine properties and compatibilities of production chemicals. Make chemical recommendations. For drilling & production equipment service companies, the TSR determines the applications which the equipment is intended to accomplish. Makes recommendations for proper equipment suited to the application. Troubleshoots problems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: College degree in petroleum related field. Company will provide specialized training.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Oil field experience is rated heavily in job selection.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: TSR's can advance to any position with company, depending on the individual's initiative.

Announcements

The API Delta Chapter Board of Directors have approved a donation to a joint LSU-UNO levee monitoring project in the amount of $7500. The API Delta Chapter supports this project to predict and prevent levee failures. We also support the joint LSU -UNO collaboration and training of students in the use of state-of-the-art Near Surface Geophysics technologies. The API Delta Chapter joins our sister societies in support of this worthy project. Information on the Levee Monitoring Project can be obtained in the accompanying presentation.
