RESERVOIR ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN


JOB TITLE: RESERVOIR ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION: Engineering is a field of Science that deals with structure, machines, or products matter and sources of energy. Deals with the oil/gas reservoirs beneath the earth's surface. Studies the boundaries of reservoir. Determines commercial production feasibility.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science(BS)/Certification Four Year college degree in Engineering Science or Engineering Technology. Certification through the Institute for the Certification of Engineering Technicians (or equal).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Interest in secondary recovery, reservoir data calculation, and governmental review reports such as Maximum (Reservoir) Efficiency Rates (MER), Maximum Production Rates (MPR), FIRES, and Reservoir Production Reports. Willingness to travel to field as required; willing to attend company sponsored schools.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Reservoir Engineering Technician can advance to title of Senior Engineering Technician. With experience, demonstrated ability and desire, may advance to field supervisory positions.
